Combined Reformer and Mat Pilates Teacher Training

 

235 Hours over 9 weeks

October-November 2024

​

 

Designed for those planning to teach private or group Pilates classes, or those looking to deepen their Pilates practice, trainees will learn KLPM signature combination of classical mat and reformer Pilates foundations while incorporating KLPM’s contemporary approach to Pilates training. Upon successful completion, you will have a complete understanding of the history of Pilates, foundations of mat pilates, fundamentals of the reformer, and mat and reformer-based exercises. Graduating trainees will have the experience and comfort to train others professionally, in a studio environment with a strong foundation and voice of their own. Certification is valid worldwide in any professional Pilates studio.

 

 

125 Hours: In-studio Intensive Training

30 HOURS: In-studio Observation

50 HOURS: Practice Teaching

30 HOURS: Self Practice

 

In-studio intensive training schedule (125 hours): 

 

Fridays:  5 - 8pm

Saturdays: 12:30  - 7pm

Sundays: 12:30 - 7pm

Training foundations (proper cueing, technique, pace)

Classical and contemporary approaches to exercises on the mat and reformer

Key elements of the musculoskeletal system

Common injuries and special cases

Pre/Post-natal basics

​

Use of props

​

Exercise modifications- beginner-advanced

Structuring a class & movement sequencing

Modifications and working with special populations

Discovering your individuality as a trainer and teaching voice




Client assessment

How to correct muscle imbalances and postural issues

Studio etiquette and machine maintenance

Terms:

Only those  trainees who complete all program requirements and have received approval for any missed

attendance will be eligible for certification graduation

​

Schedule hours are subject to change within certification weeks

​

Minimum of six trainees per certification

After August 15, 2024 fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, under any circumstances
